Why did I Read this Book?

This book was initially recommended to me by one of my teachers at a time where my stress levels had reached sky high and I had forgotten to look after myself. This book caught me at a point where I was sleeping barely four hours a night, drinking five to six cups of coffee a day and could not remember the last time I had eaten. Although very hesitantly, I picked up this book and found it to be something I thoroughly enjoyed. It is important to note that at that time, I knew nothing about the author, Vex King.

Sections of the Book

This book is roughly 270 pages long and is divided into seven parts: A Matter of Vibes, Positive Lifestyle Habits, Make Yourself a Priority, Accepting Yourself, Manifesting Goals: Mind Work, Manifesting Goals: Taking Action, and Pain and Purpose.

Each part is further broken down into smaller sections, with each section being about 7 pages long.  The book covers lots of topics that you’d find in many other personal development or self-improvement books such as Law of attraction, dealing with negative people, surrounding yourself with positive people, daily habits, changing your environment, affirmations, changing your beliefs, the power of thought and of course, setting goals. This book is slightly smaller than an average paperback and also has a few pages dedicated to quotes. It is an “easy read” non-fictional book.

Why do I Recommend this Book?

If anyone out there is looking for an introductory book on personal development and self love, this is the book to read. This book gives some nice perspective and a number of great ideas. The insights that the author shared and clearly show how much of an impact these values had on him throughout his life.
